Program Overview
The Nursery Teaching (Early Childhood Education) program at Zion College prepares dedicated educators to nurture and educate children from birth to age 8. Our comprehensive curriculum combines child development theory, teaching methodologies, and extensive practical experience to equip graduates with the skills needed to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments that foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Entry Requirements
đ Certificate in Nursery Teaching
- Academic: Form IV certificate with at least 4 passes including:
- Kiswahili or English (mandatory)
- Any three subjects
- Minimum Division: Division III or above
- Age: At least 18 years old
- Personal Qualities: Patience, creativity, love for children, and excellent communication skills
- Language: Good command of English and Kiswahili
đ Diploma in Nursery Teaching
- Direct Entry: Form VI certificate with at least 2 principal passes
- Any combination acceptable
- Education subjects preferred but not mandatory
- OR Certificate Route: Certificate in Nursery Teaching or Education with good performance (GPA 3.0+)
- Age: At least 18 years old
- Personal Qualities: Passion for teaching, creativity, patience, and child development interest
